W type Spiral Wound Exhaust Muffler Gasket

W type spiral wound exhaust muffer gasket is an excellent replacement for your car's old, leaky one. The spiral wound gasket provides easy centering and good sealing properties at low-surface pressure. The spiral wound gasket consists of a metal hoop member and a filler member with the bent portion of the V shaped metal hoop pointing toward the interior peripheral side. This design prevents the filler member from bulging out of the gasket.

The W type spiral wound gasket is constructed by enclosing a stripe of metal with a soft non-metallic filler. The spiral wound gasket is then inserted into the in-row portion of the exhaust pipe. The innermost portion of the spiral wound gasket is bent and brought into contact with the in-row portion. This design prevents the filler member from exposing itself to exhaust gas, which ensures that the gasket retains its sealing properties.
